Jim Brunberg is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who lives in Portland, Oregon, was born in Coralville, Iowa and honed his shops in the coffee houses and dive bars of San Francisco. Jim loves heckling from the crowd, broken strings, and dressing rooms without ventilation, which makes him particularly suited for touring. His gravel-tinged baritone vocals cut through any crowd and get people listening, laughing, thinking, and contorting in rhythmic fashion. Jim also plays his guitar real real good.
In 2003, Jim founded "Mississippi Studios" in Portland, Oregon. With a proverbial small army of friends, students and musicians, he renovated the century-old church to give birth to Portland's hottest acoustic venue/music school. In addition to managing Mississippi Studios, Jim's solo act is catching fire. Here is a list of folks he's toured with over the years: Greg Brown, Tracy Grammer, Hot Tuna, Willie Nelson, The Indigo Girls, Huey Lewis, and Rat Dog...
Jim produced Garett Brennan & the Great Salt Licks' 2009 record, Huckleberry Tree
